# Recall — Co-founder & COO

The synthesis chapter. The substrate question that drove ConsenSys/3Box (identity for humans) applied to a new domain (knowledge for agents).

One useful frame: Danny is both an architect (system-level pattern) and a draftsperson (obsessive about specific text). The combo can slow things down when both layers run at once, but it is high-leverage for AI tooling — governing documents, prompts, and CLAUDE.md files compound when both the architecture and the wording are right.

COO-not-CEO is deliberate: after six years as CEO of 3Box, chose the operator/builder seat over the seat that has to do investor performance theater.

"We're early" is honest, not modest — agent-infrastructure is small today; the bet is on which substrate questions matter when it isn't.
